Gobeshona session on local accountability and building community

Gobeshona and researchers in South Asia

Learning about local accountability with our network

Biraj Adhikari and Dharam Raj Uprety led us through an interactive session in the fourth Global Gobeshona conferenc. Our session was on learning from local climate accountability efforts and thinking how to connect researchers in South Asia working on these challenges. We heard interventions from Tanvi V Deshpande Saba Aslam Ashrika Sharma and Afsara Binte Mirza from International Centre for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD). Key takeaways were the need to make time to engage with policymakers, support each other and build networks, and be aware of the power dynamics at play.
